FAT ASSISTED STEM CELL
FACIAL REJUVENATION

Technology advancements enable us to constantly offer more advanced medical treatments. Stem cells have the remarkable potential to help heal and repair tissue. Stem cells are found throughout body. Conveniently enough, they are found in large quantities in fat, where, they can easily be harvested and processed to improve the skin’s appearance.

At Zen Medispa we offer fat assisted stem cell transfer treatments, which help replenish and restore the facial areas, leading to improvements in skin quality and appearance. This minimally invasive procedure is also completely natural.

FAQs

This procedure involves removing unwanted excess fat from one area of the body and processing it to isolate the stem cells. These stem cells are then added to the harvested fat and then reinjected into targeted facial areas in need of rejuvenation. This results in a more youthful, more natural appearance.

Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the remarkable ability to develop into any type of tissue when placed in a certain environment They also play a role in tissue regeneration by replicating and helping to replace worn out or damaged cells.
  • Performed under local anesthesia
  • No cutting or stitches required
  • Minimal recovery time
  • Natural looking results with improved skin appearance
  • Potential to regenerate and heal tissue
  • Patient’s own fat and stem cells are used minimising the risk of an allergic reaction
The procedure begins with a small amount of liposuction from an area of the body under tumescent anaesthesia. The harvested fat is treated by a specialised device to collect the stem cells. The stem cells are then re combined with the fat and reinjected into areas of the face that require rejuvenation.

The pain from the fat transfer is minimal. Most patients feel some mild pressure during the injection process which can be alleviated by local anaesthetic. Some bruising and swelling may occur in the treated areas which will resolve over 1 – 2 weeks.

Results will be visible immediately. However, most patients will have maximum results several months after the procedure after the transferred fat has had a period to regenerate.
There is no definite length of time that fat transfers lasts. Stem cell-assisted fat grafts have been clinically shown to last 30% longer than traditionally processed fat grafts. Results are dependent upon many factors, including lifestyle, habits, and genetics. Smoking and fluctuations in weight will diminish results.
