Pellevé RF is a radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening treatment designed to improve skin laxity and reduce wrinkles without needles or downtime.
How it works
-
Pellevé uses monopolar radiofrequency energy to heat the dermal layers (around 39–42°C at the surface, 60–65°C in the deeper tissue).
-
This controlled heating causes collagen fibers to contract immediately and stimulates new collagen production over time.
-
The skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more lifted gradually over several weeks.
Treatment areas
Commonly treated areas include:
-
Face and neck
-
Around the eyes (crow’s feet, eyelids)
-
Nasolabial folds
-
Jawline and jowls
-
Décolletage
Procedure details
-
No anaesthesia or numbing is usually required.
-
Feels like a warm massage — quite comfortable compared to some RF systems.
-
Each session takes 30–60 minutes.
-
No downtime — you can resume normal activities immediately.
Results and longevity
-
Skin looks tighter and more radiant immediately after treatment (due to collagen contraction).
-
Full collagen remodeling occurs over 6–12 weeks.
-
Recommended: a course of 3–5 sessions, spaced about 2–4 weeks apart.
-
Maintenance every 6–12 months.
Technology notes
-
Pellevé is made by Ellman International (now Cynosure).
-
It uses a monopolar RF generator (Surgitron or Cynosure’s RF platform) with handpieces of different sizes for face and body.
-
It’s non-ablative and does not break the skin, unlike microneedling RF devices.
