What is Thermage?
Thermage is a non-invasive treatment that helps smooth and tighten skin for an overall younger looking appearance. The treatment can deliver natural looking results with little to no downtime, and is suitable for all skin types.
How does Thermage FLX treatment work?
Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin. The heat helps remodel existing collagen and produce new collagen, which improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface.
What does Thermage FLX treat?
Thermage FLX procedures can effectively treat fine lines, wrinkles and loose skin on most body parts, including the face, neck, eyelids, tummy, arms, hands, thighs and buttocks.
How long will the results last?
For most patients, measurable results appear gradually in the four to six months following a single treatment session and can last for one to two years depending on your skin condition and ageing process.
How many treatments will I need?
Unlike many cosmetic procedures requiring multiple sessions, Thermage can deliver results after a single treatment. Best of all, results continue to improve over time. Treatments every 6 months to 2 years may be recommended by your Thermage provider depending on your skin condition and goals.
Does it hurt?
The Thermage system incorporates vibration on face and body treatments which has been shown to provide patient comfort. You will feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches your skin, followed by a cooling sensation to help protect your skin and minimise any discomfort.
Are there common side effects?
Some patients have temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours.
How long before I can go back to my normal activities?
Most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. No special care is required afterward, aside from basic skin maintenance and sunscreens as part of a regular skincare regimen.
